We are home. It is truly a miracle. Paul had an incredible painful day on Wednesday. Michele, Rebecca and I spent about 5 -6 hours trying to make Paul comfortable. The pain was so intense we saw a side of Paul I didn't know he had..(after 21 years). Michele was helping me answer my phone and she told everyone to please pray. She called the Pastor and asked for special prayer. I know the prayers of many people were answered. Thursday he had a much better day and we were able to come home! He is still in a lot of pain but with LOTS of pain meds we are working through it.
It was a blessing to have my brother as a resource during this time. When I first called and told him was the situation was he said "oh no that's a bad one"....that is scary coming from a surgeon.
Paul is to have no weight on his leg for 3 months..He will be going through intense therapy. He said his Boundary Waters trip is NOT cancelled it is just postponed!! LOL
God has been so very near during this time. My mom reminded me of the song Paul and Amy Loper had sang in church just 2 weeks prior that says "God sees the storm from the other side". Maybe we don't understand why this happened but we do understand God is Good.
Our families, church family, neighbors, work friends have all be so kind and have helped us so much. I can't tell you what a tremendous help everyone has been..

I'm glad he is home and feeling some better. We are praying and hope those pain pills do their job. I know what it is like to have a husband "off of his feet" for a while, so I'm thinking of you, too. Hang in there!
We are praying for you all! Glad to hear he is getting some relief.
I'm still laughing over some of the things he was saying yesterday. We have tons to tease him about once he is back on his feet...:)
We are praying for all of you...glad to hear that the pain is being managed now. You have our love and prayers!
